Sam's Toy Chest was started in 2004 under the corporation name Asa Jay, Inc. We named this part of our business after our son Samuel. Long before Samuel joined us, I was determined to be a stay-at-home mom. However, we found our expenses could not be covered under my husband's income alone. When Samuel was 3 months old, I started working from home as a computer applications consultant which included database development and online toy subscription and a few toys.
Sam was diagnosed with Autism in 2003 with some other medical problems. I expanded the toy store in the hope to help pay for the medical and therapy costs.
